Aid for Tsunami victims - The choir is organizing a collection of clothes, blankets, rice, canned food (with pull-open tabs) and drugs like paracetamol (panadol etc.) to send over to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami. Please bring whatever you can this Sat 1 Jan 2005 to church. Please ask your family and friends to donate too. Although we are fortunate not to have been affected by this tragedy, let us offer up a prayer for those who have lost loved ones, are injured or have been killed. May their souls rest in peace.

Singers needed for wake - One of the Singaporeans who passed away in Phuket due to the tsunamis, was a 4 year old girl. She and her family go to Holy Family Church. Her wake will most probably be held at S'pore Casket. There will be a mass for her held on Sun 2 Jan 2005 (the funeral mass will be on Wed or Thu), so we were wondering if g2 could come and sing. Fr Francis Teo will be the priest there.

Christmas Pageant 2004 Auditions! - Yup! We, the youth of Holy Family will be holding a pageant before midnight mass this year. Auditions are on 29 Aug (Sun) 11am-3pm in church, 3 Sea Ave #2-1. So if you can act, sing, dance, play instruments etc, come on down and showcase your talents!

Hope Builders go to Korat - The Hope Builders, an initiative by some of our fellow Holy Fam youth to help build homes and hope for the people of Korat, Thailand. Read about their experience and see pictures of their mission trip (end June 2004)

17 Jul 04 New Found Gloria - We're into the 2nd week of the new gloria. Over the next few weeks, we'll teach the congregation the verses before mass.

GII June Fun Camp 14-16 June - Organised by our capable young brigade of Jeremy Oh, Jasmine, Jonathan, Priscilla, Joanna, Jeremy Chia & oldie Ferd, this camp was the best, most enjoyable and interesting one in a long time. 34 of us were split into the 4 houses of Hogwarts Montfort... and battled through 3 days of amazing races, numerous team games, paintbombs, cheering, skits, & MTVs. We give thanks to God, for His blessings of good weather, good fellowship, and good food! Photos coming soon!

Corpus Christi - about 10 of us were part of the 300-strong combined choir for the Eucharistic Congress Mass in the indoor stadium on June 13. Singing from 11am to 9pm, it was a an amazing experience... the practices, the beautiful youth segment, the sharings, mass, the procession.

Holy Trinity 05 June - The spiritual committee screened a very inspiring movie Stolen Summer, which was filled with many Catholic themes such as the Eucharist, Death, Mission, Childlike Faith... 34 of us then broke into small sharing groups to discuss.

Pentecost Sunday 29 May - After mass, we practised "I know that my Redeemer Lives" and "Behold the Lamb", in parts. This is part of the preparation for Corpus Christi

7th Sunday of Easter & BGM 22 May!!! - We had a very good turnout for the BGM follow-up with 37 Genesians meeting up, discussing, debating and forming ideas. We chose the 5 most important issu:- Recruitment, Anniversary, Christmas/ Easter Presentation, Community Service and Dec Camp. Committees were formed and watch out for updates.

6th Sunday of Easter - After mass, we practised "Behold the Lamb", in parts. This is part of the preparation for the major feastdays coming in June.

Mother's Day 08 May 2004 - Thank you for a very memorable weekend.... was sitting behind you all for mass and I must say "Praise Her With A Flower" was sung so lovingly and it was inspiring to see the rest of the congregation all joining in and singing.

Easter Egg Hunt 08 May 2004 - Celebrating Easter & Getting to know Holy Fam - the Easter Egg Hunt was simply superb!!! Thank you to the team that brought us such an amazing and mind-wrecking game - Andrea, June, Joanna, Duane, Jeremy Oh, & Alvin. Photos will be up on the website soon! (We ended with a birthday party for Jeremy Chia at the Chia's Castle, a splendid dinner indeed)

01 Jan 2004 - Happy New Year to one and all!!! For a few plucky Genesians, we celebrated the New Year with a beautiful mass at Holy Fam, singing with the combined choir for the Feast of Mary, Mother of God (also World Prayer for Peace Day). The 2 highlights of the celebration were Fr Erbin's homily on Omnia Vincit Amor - Love Conquers All; and Jonathan Brother Cantor's inspiring acclamation and psalm.
