Our
Church's Building
The Church of Our Lady
Star of the Sea is constructed in the shape of a boat. This shape
can be seen best from the side view across Yishun Street 22.
The 'boat' reminds us of the
Church's original location at Sembawang Road that was near the sea
port and shipyard.
The boat is also a biblical image
of the Church. All people on earth are on the journey towards
Heaven. The Church has the responsibility of ferrying people of all
nations safely and surely to their destiny. We are God's instrument
of helping others to know and to love Him.
