Neighbourhood
Christian Community (NCC)
Sometime in 1987,
Neighbourhood Christian Community (NCC) was initiated by Fr. Amiotte.
NCC Animators were appointed to bring about closer interaction among
Catholic families living in neighbourhood homes, as well as to keep
them informed and allow them to take part in the activities of the
parish such as canteen, offering and warden duties.
To date, there are 45 NCCs grouped largely into 7 zones. Each NCC
comprises 20-30 Catholic families under the care of a NCC Animator.
Below is a breakdown of the number of NCCs in each zone:

Despite initial
difficulty in laying the groundwork, Zone and NCC Animators worked
diligently, overcoming setbacks and disappointments, to generate
response from their families.
To date there is much camaraderie between families and some NCCs who
have gone on social outings such as picnics and parties organised
among themselves. Zone Masses, Rosary and Bible-sharing sessions have
also been organised.
