Born in Indonesia, Father Kamelus Kamus, cicm, professed his religious vows with CICM in 1987. In 1993 he was assigned to the Philippines as a member of the first team of CICM missionaries working among the Moro Muslims in Mindanao. Father Kamelus served in Indonesia from 2002-2009 then joined the Singapore District of CICM in 2010 where he serves as assistant priest at the Church of the Risen Christ in Toa Payoh.

CALLED TO SERVE FATHER PAUL E. STAES, cicm Ordained a Priest on 6 August 1961 Scheut, Belgium Paul E. Staes, cicm, celebrated the Golden Jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood with Holy Mass, concelebrated by nearly 50 priests, including 8 CICM confreres and 3 bishops, followed by a gala 9-course dinner attended by 600 people. Memories of Fr. Paul's journey to the priesthood and his early years as a priest are captured on Youtube. An account of the preparations leading up to the event as well as Fr. Paul's account of the Holy Mass and dinner are shared in his own words. Fr. Paul shares his thoughts on his vocation in his homily. There are also pictures of the Holy Mass and the dinner to share the joy of this celebration with all. The jubilee committee compiled a beautiful souvenir booklet (5Mb .pdf) for all those who attended and for those who are sharing the experience online.

CICM held its 14th General Chapter in Rome during the month of May 2011. One of its main tasks was the election of a new General Government for the next 6 years, 2011-2017. See the updates at CICM Headquarters in Rome.
